Summer 2016 on Suzie Q

In 2016, we launched Suzie Q on May 19th. She did not need too much work this year but Dave changed the windows. The old windows did not leek but were pretty foggy. We decided to keep the existing frames and used the old plexiglass as the pattern to buy new plexiglass with a darker tint. It was a pretty fast process to obtain the new windows at a rather low cost. Then Dave got to work...

Even if we launched much earlier this year, for some reason, we did not sail until June 18th. The spring was very, very windy this year so that could be one of the reasons. A couple of times we went to sail only to find the wind blowing 20 knots and more. Since we are not racing, we decided not to sail anymore in that much wind. 

We only sailed 11 times this summer but we did try to sleep on the boat once... in the harbour! 

Haulout happened on October 6th before it got too cold to prepare her for the winter.
